Business Insights: Profiting by Design

The first Six Cities Design into Business conference was an exciting, diverse day. Business people, designers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry representatives from all over Scotland heard inspirational talks about design success within business, networked with industry contacts and examined how design successfully impacts on the full spectrum of business operations.

Facilitated by René Carayol MBE, throughout the day speakers discussed how varying aspects of design had impacted their business endeavours. The audience was presented with an understanding of exactly what it is that design and designers can do to create the greatest effect in business, how they add business value, and how can design influences all aspects of business beyond expectations.

Other highlights included the Six Cities/NESTA Starter for Six exhibition and the final networking session with delegates not only mulling over the proceedings. but also meeting potential collaborators.
