A double bill of talks combining the best Scottish and International design talent. Wayne Hemmingway began his career by setting up the highly successful Red or Dead fashion label with his wife Gerardine. In 1999, having sold Red or Dead they set up Hemingway Design, which specializes in affordable and social design. Their highest profile project is The Staiths South Bank, a 800 property mass market housing project on Tyneside for George Wimpey Homes. Wayne also writes for architectural and housing publications, regularly appears as a TV design pundit and judges international design competitions. Brothers Alasdair and Neil Stephen set up architecture practice Dualchas in 1996. Based on the Isle of Skye, they specialise in modern design which is rooted in Gaelic culture. Dualchas's current projects include Tayinloan in Argyll which is a 75 house development of affordable housing as well as a number of private houses. Watch the talks online...click here
